Our bush venue Kubu lodge is nestled in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, located on a beautiful water hole, in the African bushveld on a farm called Cyferfontein close to the town of Bela Bela in the Limpopo Province.

Cyferfontein is nestled in the foothills of the Waterberg mountains in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, one of the most Breath taking, Malaria Free bushveld regions of South Africa.
Kubu Lodge derives its name from the hippos residing in the dam right in front of the lodge. Mabalingwe is a well known and renowned nature reserve of some 12000 hectares in extent, located approximately 1,5 to 2.0hrs from Pretoria and Johannesburg, respectively.
Being next to the water’s edge, Kubu Lodge offers our guests easy walking and mountain biking options amongst the game on the farm. With uninterrupted views over the African bush and the flow of water during the rainy season, Kubu Lodge offers beautiful spaces in which to relax and enjoy nature.
